This privacy policy explains which personal data FinanzTool processes when you visit this website and use its features, and which rights you have.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you open a page, the web server automatically records technical data in log files, such as your IP address, date and time, the requested page, the referring page, the amount of data transferred, and your browser and operating system. We process this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and find errors (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider deletes log files after a short period according to its own settings.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only a few cookies. Cookies that remember your choices (language, currency, appearance) are set only when you use the related function. Details are listed on our Cookie Policy page.

4. Contact form and email

If you contact us through the form or by email, we process the data you send (name, email address, message) to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR; where you tick the consent box, also Art. 6(1)(a)). The form is sent by email through our hosting provider's mail system. To protect the form against abuse we store a pseudonymised technical identifier derived from your IP address, together with the time of your submission, for at most 24 hours. We delete your message once your enquiry has been dealt with and no legal retention duty applies.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show advertising. Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, for users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK; Google LLC, USA, otherwise) may process data such as your IP address, cookie identifiers and information about your device and the pages you visit in order to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Where the law requires it, personalised advertising and non-essential cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can change at any time. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. 6. Analytics

We currently do not use a web analytics service. If we introduce one, we will use it only with your consent and update this policy first.

7. Exchange rates and third-party data

Some pages may show exchange rates that our server retrieves from third-party data providers. No personal data of visitors is sent to them.

8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). 9. Right to object

Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation.
