This privacy policy explains which personal data FinanzTool processes when you visit this website and use its features, and which rights you have.

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you open a page, the web server automatically records technical data in log files, such as your IP address, date and time, the requested page, the referring page, the amount of data transferred, and your browser and operating system. We process this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and find errors (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider deletes log files after a short period according to its own settings.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use only a few cookies. Cookies that remember your choices (language, currency, appearance) are set only when you use the related function. Details are listed on our Cookie Policy page.
Consent management. Visitors in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK are asked for their consent with Google’s consent message (Google “Privacy & messaging”, a consent tool certified under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) before advertising or analytics cookies are used. The message stores your choice in the cookies FCCDCF and FCNEC and passes it on to Google and to the advertising partners listed in the message. To show the message, Google processes your IP address and technical data about your browser, and the message loads fonts from Google’s servers. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR (we must be able to prove consent). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Privacy and cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page.
4. Contact form and email
If you contact us through the form or by email, we process the data you send (name, email address, message) to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR; where you tick the consent box, also Art. 6(1)(a)). The form is sent by email through our hosting provider's mail system. To protect the form against abuse we store a pseudonymized technical identifier derived from your IP address, together with the time of your submission; it is deleted automatically after 24 hours. We delete your message once your request has been dealt with and no legal retention duty applies.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show advertising. Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, for users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK; Google LLC, USA, otherwise) may process data such as your IP address, cookie identifiers and information about your device and the pages you visit in order to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Where the law requires it, personalized advertising and non-essential cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can change at any time. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. More information is available in Google's privacy policy and in your Google ad settings.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google in Google’s My Ad Center, and out of personalized advertising by many other providers at youronlinechoices.eu or aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
6. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand how our calculators are used and to improve them. Google Analytics processes information such as the pages you visit, the time spent on them, the website you came from, your approximate location (country, region, city), and your device and browser type. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; it uses them only briefly to derive the approximate location. Visitors in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK: Google Analytics is loaded only after you consent in the consent dialog (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); without consent no analytics request is made and no analytics cookie is set. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Privacy and cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. The cookies used are listed on our Cookie Policy page.
The Persian version of the site and the news page show no advertising and do not use Google Analytics.
7. Live data from third parties
Some pages show data that our server retrieves from third parties: exchange rates (the European Central Bank’s reference rates, retrieved via frankfurter.dev or open.er-api.com, and Kraken), crypto prices (Kraken), the current Bitcoin block height (mempool.space, blockstream.info) and news headlines from the public RSS feeds of the outlets named on the news page. Only our server makes these requests: your browser does not contact these providers, and no personal data of visitors is sent to them.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details above.
9. Right to object
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation.
10. Changes
