Cookies that remember your choices

• user_locale: remembers the language you chose. Set only when you click a language flag. Duration: 12 months.
• user_currency and irr_unit: remember the currency (and the Toman/Rial display) you chose. Set only when you change the currency. Duration: 12 months.
• theme: remembers the light or dark appearance you chose. Set only when you use the theme button. Duration: 12 months.
• lang_hint: remembers that you closed the language suggestion. Set only when you close it. Duration: 6 months.

Your consent choice

The consent dialog on this site is Google’s own consent message (Google “Privacy & messaging”, part of AdSense). It stores your decision in the Google cookies listed below. You can change it at any time with the “Privacy and cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page.

• FCCDCF: stores your consent decision (Google). Duration: 13 months.
• FCNEC: lets Google measure how the consent message works. Duration: 12 months.
• consent: used only if our own notice banner replaces Google’s message (not the case at present): stores your decision. Duration: 6 months.

Advertising cookies (Google)

If advertising is active, Google may set or read cookies to deliver and measure ads. Where the law requires it, this happens only with your consent. See section 5 of our Privacy Policy.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

• _ga and _ga_<ID>: distinguish visits and sessions for visitor statistics, using a pseudonymous ID (no names). Visitors in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK: set only after your consent. Duration: up to 2 years.

Managing cookies
