Financial topics affect real decisions, so accuracy and transparency matter to us. This page explains how FinanzTool works.

How our calculators work

• Calculators use standard, publicly documented formulas. Each tool explains its method and shows a worked example.
• Results are calculated in your browser from the numbers you enter. We do not need your personal financial data.
• Amounts are calculated directly in the currency you select. We do not silently convert between currencies.

Sources and tax rules

Where a tool depends on tax rules or official rates, we use the official sources of the country concerned, name the tax year and link to the source. Rules change, so each such tool shows the date it was last reviewed.

Corrections

If you find an error, please tell us on the Contact page. We check reports and correct confirmed mistakes as soon as we reasonably can.

Advertising and independence

FinanzTool is financed by advertising. Ads are labeled and kept separate from the content. Advertisers do not influence our calculators, texts or results, and we do not accept payment for calculation results.

Languages

The site is available in several languages. Each language version is written for its own audience, including local terms, number formats and currencies.
